Blaire Sharman

A lover of adventure stories both in and outside of her art, Blaire is an Appalachian/British actor, writer, and musician based in London, who recently graduated from the MFA Acting course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In January, she performed at the RCS Emergence Festival in "The Killing Steel," her original 60-minute play about an ambitious young woman who paints Alexander the Great over the course of his life. Recently, Blaire has portrayed Bart Simpson in “Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play” and Goneril in “Lear” at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She also played Cassius in “Julius Caesar” at Shakespeare’s Globe in conjunction with the conservatoire. Her first short film, “Rural,” which she both wrote and acted in, has been recognized nationally and internationally as well as nominated for Best Drama Short. As a theatre-maker, her work interrogates the parallel themes of grief and joy, as well as the inextricable link between landscape and being. Her favorite hobby is going on weeklong walks in the woods. Next stop, Hadrian's Wall!
In addition to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she is also an alumnus of New York University Tisch School of the Arts (graduating Magna Cum Laude with honors in theatre) where she trained at the Atlantic Acting School, Stonestreet Studios, and the Classical Studio. Blaire also trained with the Society of American Fight Directors, earning her certifications in Unarmed, Rapier & Dagger, and Broadsword stage combat.
